320 Sq ft mural for a new Oaxacan style Dallas restaurant.
I learned about the resplendent quetzal years ago when my sister and I were lucky enough to see one in the wild. It's extraordinarily beautiful and sacred bird of the mayan culture. The style of the bird stems from some of the coolest modern art I know, Oaxaca wood carvings.. The flower is from a medicinal tree native to Mexico, Quararibea funebris, a funerary tree, and has an amazing fragrance.
(flower stems cut off at the bottom of the wall as benches were to be constructed)

14x80ft. Mural for Bushido JiuJitsu • Strength in Dallas, TX. To give this mural more of a watercolor or charcoal like appearance, I didn’t use any white paint and painted everything entirely with black acrylic paint of varying transparencies.
Features four historical samurai from the 16th and 17th century. The Samurai on the far right is Toyotomi Hideyoshi, a peasant who rose to be the most powerful man in Japan, Ieyasu Tokugawa, Oda Nobunaga and Date Mesamune, consecutively.

In a hallway within The Food Hall on Crockett Row, is a large mural that depicts the 3 animals that seem to represent Fort Worth, each in a unique way. A longhorn is the traditional logo for the city. The horned frog lizard is the mascot for TCU, and then theres the story of how FW received the name Panther City. Link below for the story:
